Michael Rand has been in working in the music industry for over 20 years. He started in his hometown of Detroit managing the band RHYTHM CORPS. He guided the careers of RHYTHM CORPS, KID ROCK BLUE OCTOBER. Michael has been the responsible agent for SEVEN MARY THREE, SPONGE, DAYS OF THE NEW, THE KNACK, SPIN DOCTORS, GIN BLOSSOMS, SISTER MACHINE GUN, HANZEL UND GRETYL, IAN HUNTER, THE PRESIDENTS OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, CRUD and several others. He has booked tours for TED NUGENT, VINCE NEIL of MOTLEY CRUE, WARRANT, RATT, QUIET RIOT, SLAUGHTER, WASP, WHITESNAKE, JACKYL, CINDERELLA, FIREHOUSE, UFO, LA GUNS, and Michael Rand also enjoyed focusing on artist development where he landed major label record deals for SISTER SOLEIL, BLUE OCTOBER, AND THE ATOMIC FIREBALLS.
Of course Michael knew that he could not start his company without a solid team backing him. With a simple phone call and brain storming ideas he brought on the well-determined agent based out of LA, Tony Lopez, who has worked with artists such as The Pat Travers Band for over 15 years , Robin McAuley of MSG, Eddie Money on special projects,Gary Hoey,on special projects on location with/ with The U.S. Navy Blue Angels,Nightranger,Journey,Tesla, Bret Michaels,LA Guns,Jeff Berlin,The Storm,Slash's Snakepit,Tony has worked on ABC Television movie of the week projects with such stars as Neil Patrick Harris (Doogie Howser) Hollywood set designer Chris Carriveau,Tony has also worked on several projects with stars such as The late River Phoenix,the very funny John Capponerra,Larry Bubbles Brown,Mark Pitta,Eddie Murphy,Teri Garr,The late Rodney Dangerfield and Sam Kinison. Tony knows all aspects of entertainment and brings excitement and work ethic to the agency. He believes that in any time people like to be entertained and that is what he does he provides top quality entertainment for the buyers worldwide.
Another member of the Popular Music team is Stephanie Watnick. Stephanie who met Michael walking down the street, loyally worked for Michael in both his Ashley Talent International and Paradise days. She has helped out in many of the artist development projects and has shined in trying to figure out creative ways to help build a band.
Becoming aware of the new budding company Kevin Harley, based out of Cookeville, TN contacted Michael and the two decided it would be ideal to have join up on the team. Harley started his music life as a musician playing around the local scene. He later started promoting concerts for SEVEN MARY THREE and DAYS OF THE NEW.
